The CEO’s/Managing directors of Midtown Hotels Limited, Lakeshore Annex Hotels Limited and Nicen Paint Industries Limited located at Aba were, on Thursday, 18th May, 2017 arraigned before the Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Aba Judicial/Magistrate District for alleged contempt of court and their refusal to pay Abia State Property and Land Use Charge Fee (ABIAPLUC), due to Abia State Government.

GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

This is to inform all concerned that, the IGR Policy of the state did not provide for appointment of revenue agents.

MDAs are by this notice directed not to appoint any agent for the year 2017, as Abia State Government will not be held liable for any contravention.
All Revenue matters must be directed to the IGR council.

Motor Licensing Authorities have been advised to cooperate and partner with Abia Insurance Brokers Limited in order to enhance and accelerate rapid increase in the State IGR.

This was made known to them recently during a meeting of all Motor Licensing Authorities of the 17 LGA’s of the State and delegates of Abia Insurance Brokers limited led by their General Manager Mrs. Ngozi Sunday-Chika at the Board conference room.
